Juan Miguel Hernández León
Architect and cultural thinker
Juan Miguel Hernández León is a Doctor of Architecture, Professor Emeritus at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, essayist, author of numerous books and publications, and curator of a wide range of exhibitions.
In 2025, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts by the Spanish Government.
Throughout his career, Juan Miguel has devoted his life to shaping spaces for culture, both through architecture and ideas. A leading figure in critical thought in Spain, he has spent decades moving between teaching, writing and cultural management, always approaching art and the city with a calm and deeply reflective perspective.
