An art and science historian of the Early Modern period, he is currently a PhD candidate at the Warburg Institute, where he researches the relationship between Epicureanism and anatomy in the seventeenth century.

Specializing in Italian and Dutch graphic arts of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, he was a Bromberg Fellow in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum.
